How projects are judged

How projects are judged is based on whether a competition is done online or in-person. At this point we are only doing online competitions. Project presentation files are uploaded as part of the registration process.

Online Competition

Projects are judged based on artifacts including items such as the research plan and research notebooks. Online competitions also require a quad chart and a slide show with up to 12 slides.

Junior and Senior division students will be interviewed during a specified date and time. Interviews will be done individually via video conference.

In-Person Competition

Projects are judged based on artifacts including items such as the research plan and research notebooks. In-person competitions require a poster board and a quad chart. The quad chart is posted during the online registration process and should not be used on the poster board.

Junior and Senior division students will be interviewed during a specified date and time. Interviews will be done in a group setting.
