Charlotte Michaluk is one of the top 30 finalists for this year's Broadcom Masters competition. The final results are in and Charlotte was award the Department of Defense's STEM Talent Award. The $10,000 award is for demonstrating excellence in science, technology, engineering or math, along with the leadership and technical skills necessary to excel in the 21st Century STEM workforce and build a better community for tomorrow.

Charlotte was one of two students that made it to the Top 300 Broadcom Masters from the Mercer Science and Engineering Fair. They are Antonia Comaniciu, a 7th grade student at Thomas R. Grover Middle School in West Windsor, and Charlotte Michaluk, an 8th grade student at Timberlane Middle School in Pennington, New Jersey. Antonia's project is Novel Seasonal Prediction of Atlantic Hurricanes Using Neural Networks. Charlotte's project is Simulating Slipping Snails: Mitigating Climate Change and Oceanborne Invasive Species Transport with Biomimicry. You can view their projects on this site.
