The Mercer Science and Engineering Fair (MSEF) is affiliated with the Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge (JIC).

The top MSEF winner(s) in the Junior Division move onto JIC. All JIC finalists must be chosen by an affiliated fair. You cannot enter JIC directly. The MSEF competition is in March. The JIC competition is a multilevel affair with finalists providing their projects for judging. The top 30 are invited to compete in person.
